Can you shuffle playlists on your iPod?

I know you can play every song shuffled, but say I go under artists and select "Fall Out Boy" to play all my FOB songs (About 50). Is there any way to play that individual list on shuffle mode, or would I be better off making a "Fall Out Boy" playlist on iTunes and plunking the songs on in a random order??

I have a 2nd gen 4GB Nano if that helps at all.
