Why can't the legal doctrine of "claw back" be used to take back our tax money given to AIG executives?

When these greedy incompetent financial con men say that their lawyers tell them they have contracts for bonus monies (unearned and undeserved), and these can not be abrogated, well, folks, they are lying.
